ePromptus, Inc. has an opening for the position of Informatica Tech Lead (Ref# ITL41RU) to work in Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties: Responsible for leading the design, development, programming, data quality, testing, administration, and support of data warehouses and ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter. Involved in all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC). Lead technical requirements and technical and data architectures for the data warehouse projects. Coordinate with business users to gather user requirements. Work with Business Analysts and ETL Informatica Developers to convert business requirements into technical requirements and design. Create high-level design and detailed technical design, Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions, and Shell scripts for automation of Informatica jobs. Understand the source systems, business requirements, and conceptual solution and conduct the data profiling and data modeling of sources and targets. Create source to target mapping specifications from the business requirements. Perform source system analysis and validate logical data and physical database designs. Use Informatica Workflow Manager to create complex workflows. Develop complex Informatica mappings, mapplets, and reusable transformations using multiple sources, transformations, and targets from different databases and flat files to facilitate one time and weekly loading of data for reports. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Informatica mappings. Create UNIX shell scripts to load data from flat files into databases. Provide support for quality assurance (QA) / user acceptance testing (UAT) and production code migrations. Review unit testing and unit testing results documents. Provide warranty support by assisting/resolving production issues. Involved in reviewing complex SQLs to improve the performance. Provide subject-matter expertise and knowledge to ETL Developers. Perform code reviews and migrations of ETL objects from Dev to QA to Production environments. Use of Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Repository Manager, Workflow Manager, Monitor), Informatica Data Quality, Informatica Cloud Services (ICS), Oracle, SQL Server, Tivoli, Toad, SQL Developer, Putty, IBM Lotus Notes, WinSCP, SCM Workbench, HP Service Manager, SharePoint, MS Visio, Linux, and UNIX. Travel and/or relocation required.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Informatica Technical Consultant, Systems Analyst, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Repository Manager, Workflow Manager, Monitor), SQL Server, Oracle, Toad, and UNIX. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
